Kris & Kierst is a collaborative salon built on authenticity, artistry, and care. Founded in 2019 after a decade of working together, we created a space where beauty and wellness professionals, and the clients we serve, feel valued, supported, and free to express themselves.

Training & Education
Cosmetology Unlocked
Our in‑house training program bridges the gap between hair school and the chair. Designed to build real‑world confidence and technical skills, this self‑paced program supports new stylists as they transition into their careers.

Self‑paced structure with a maximum training period of 6 months

Level 1 includes foundational color and cutting skills, plus theory

Twice‑monthly practice and test‑out opportunities

In‑person support from Kristin and Kiersten during designated training days
2 / Test Out Option
Stylists who already possess the necessary skills may attempt to test out during the first monthly session.
3 / Progress & Expectations
Employment begins with a 6‑month probationary period.
A progress meeting is held at the 6‑month mark
If effort and growth are demonstrated, the probation period may be extended.
Once Level 1 is completed, those services are added to your menu.

Kiersten
Master Barber and licensed cosmetologist who teaches foundational cutting skills and supports stylists in developing strong, consistent technique.
Kristin
American Board Certified Haircolorist who teaches foundational color theory, curl education, and the technical skills new stylists need to build confidence behind the chair.
